GREATER Shepparton’s Albanian community celebrated the re-opening of their newly renovated Mosque on Saturday. The original building was opened on August 7, 1960, and it was the first mosque in Shepparton.
The extensive, seven-month refurbishment included enlarging the worship area and the addition of a community room and modern comfort facilities. Congratulations to Reg Quemal, Shane Sali and everyone involved in the project.
The project was made possible by numerous donations from local community members and the Victorian State Government. It was a momentous day for both the Albanian and wider community.
