BRINGING together local industry, government, and community organisations to support and work together to strengthen social and economic outcomes for the region and to assist people with barriers get work, GROW Greater Shepparton is ‘Growing Regional Opportunities for Work’.
Greater Shepparton is a supportive, successful community willing to give people an opportunity. GROW helps genuine jobseekers connect to industries with skill shortages. GROW works closely with community groups across our region to identify those cohorts that may need a hand up, not a handout.
To assist local industry and job seekers connect, GROW has launched a Business and Jobs Platform in June this year, growgreatershepparton.com.au.
The platform has been well received by local businesses with just over 165 organisations now registered and over 135 jobs posted.
“Having the opportunity to post our vacancies on the GROW Greater Shepparton jobs board has extended our reach and opened up our applicant pool. In the past three months we have recruited eight new employees,” said HR manager for CPE Amanda Herezo.
GROW encourages local businesses to look at how they can spend their money locally and keep more money in our local community, which will in-turn will assist in employment opportunities for those from marginalised groups.
GROW Greater Shepparton (Growing Regional Opportunities for Work) is a collaborative program where business, government and community organisations are supported to work together to strengthen social and economic outcomes and increase job opportunities through procurement and employment across the Goulburn Valley.
GROW Greater Shepparton seeks to support the growth of industry and jobs in the region. Achieving employment outcomes for our communities facing barriers to employment and helping ensure everyone can participate in a growing economy is the key to the ongoing success of GROW.
