EUROA vs. SHEPPARTON UNITED
Shepparton United faces a big challenge as it searches for its first win of 2022 when it travels to Euroa. The Demons were reasonably competitive against Rochester last weekend and coach Paul Serra will turn to the skipper Kyle Clarke, Joel Serra, Adam Pigatto, Mitchell Roche and Damien Pigatto to lead the way. Euroa produced a solid four quarter win over the Swans to make it two wins on the bounce. Coach Scott Rowan will be hoping his group can continue their winning form against the visitors. Tip: Euroa.
BENALLA vs. ROCHESTER
Rochester will be looking for a third straight win when it makes the trip across to the Rose City to take on Benalla. The Tigers have got their season on track over the past fortnight with a big win over Tatura and a workmanlike win over United. Coach Steven Stroobants will look to Christopher Jansen, Mitch Cricelli, Shaun Atley, Nathan Kay and Lachlan Harper to continue their good form when they play the Saints today. Tip: Rochester.
SEYMOUR vs. ECHUCA
Seymour will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat when it welcomes another premiership fancy in Echuca today. The Lions have been gallant in defeat during the past fortnight and coach Ben Davey hopes to be able to welcome back a few regulars soon to get the season back on track. Echuca had an arm wrestle in the first half against Mansfield last weekend. Then it showed why it is the team to beat with its best quarter of 2022, kicking 10 goals to blow the Eagles away. Tip: Echuca.
SHEPPARTON SWANS vs. KYABRAM
Kyabram will be out to consolidate its place in the top half of the ladder when it travels to Princess Park to take on the Swans. The Swans will be looking for their second win of the season but the young group may find the challenge tough, especially if they can’t get back some of their experienced campaigners who missed last week’s loss. Lachlan Smith, Cooper Vick, Mitchell Gugliotti, Thomas Holman and Jason Morgan were strong contributors in the win last weekend and they will again be important for the reigning premier. For the Swans, Zac Clohesy, coach Andrew Riordan, Zac Banch, Mitchell Bell and Isaiah Jones will be looking to continue their good form to give them a chance of an upset win. Tip: Kyabram.
SHEPPARTON vs. MANSFIELD
Mansfield will be looking to bounce back to the winners’ circle after it suffered its first loss of 2022 last weekend. The Eagles gave a good account of themselves in the first half, but couldn’t go with the Murray Bombers in the second half. Coach Chad Owens will be hoping the defeat is just a small bump in the road. He will look to James Herridge, Jayden Howes, Jack Hutchins, Ben Christopher and Will Foster (4 out of 7 goals last week) to keep the likes of Mitchell Brett, Rowan Hiscock, Connor Fleming, Jed Warrin, Nick Allan and Anthony Andronaco at bay and take the four points back to the High Country. Tip: Mansfield.
MOOROOPNA vs. TATURA
Mooroopna will be looking to remain the only undefeated team and keep its hold at the top of the ladder when it take on neighbouring rival Tatura today. Christopher Nield played arguably his best game for the Cats last weekend where he single-handedly won the game off his own boot. He will no doubt pose plenty of headaches for the Bulldogs defenders and if they don’t put time into the likes of Ethan Hunt, Liam Betson, Ben Hicks and Keelin Betson then he will kick a bag again to be the difference. Mitchell Elliott, Billy Copper, James Bennett, Luke McGill and Tom Sullivan will be doing their best to ensure the visitors are competitive and take the game up to the more fancied Cats. Tip: Mooroopna.
