One Nation candidate for Nicholls
Where are you from, and how did you find your way to Shepparton/the Nicholls electorate?
I was born in Wagga Wagga NSW, moved to Bermagui NSW at the age of 14 and settled in Victoria in 2014. My husband and I purchased our first dairy farm in Invergordon in 2018. We still reside in Invergordon today on another dairy after selling ours six months ago.
What primary, high school and uni did you go to?
South Wagga Primary School, Wagga Wagga Technology High School, Narooma High School (finishing year 12 in 2000)
What do you do here?
I have been managing One Nations Victorian team this past term on a volunteer basis and also working on the Dairy Farm my husband manages.
What’s the best part of your job?
I enjoy the people I get to meet and learn from in both my work in politics and in the Agricultural Industry.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy camping along the Murray River with my family, extended family and friends. Here we have no phone reception to interfere with our down time and enjoyment of nature. I love fishing and sharing a laugh around the campfire.
What’s your favourite thing about Shepparton?
I love the people. Everyone is always happy to say g’day, answer a question if asked and the community offers a diverse array of cultures to learn from.
What’s one thing you would change about Shepparton to improve it?
Energy. I would like to see energy costs drop to encourage more businesses to open and create more jobs for our locals, lower our own power bills at home and reduce the cost of living for Nicholls residents.
What are three words you would use to describe Shepparton, or the electorate of Nicholls?
Australian, Progressive, Regional.
