SHEPPARTON’S SAM precinct was transformed into a scintillating epicentre of entertainment on Friday and Saturday evening for the region’s first-ever Illuminate Festival.
The festival hosted more than 20 food vendors along with mesmerising light experiences across the SAM Precinct and Victoria Park Lake shore which saw approximately 5,000 people attend on Friday night and an incredible 15,000 on Saturday, which was double the amount of visitors expected to attend the event.
Tatura local Deanne Jeffers attended the festival on Saturday evening and was blown away by the live music, great food and illuminating art that came to life.
“This was an amazing event for our region. It would be wonderful if we could make this an annual festival, not only did it bring locals together, but I met so many people who travelled from across all Victoria to attend,” said Deanne.
Illuminate was a celebration of the new SAM Precinct with a stunning laser, light and sound display across the building closing the festival on Saturday night to acknowledge the region’s creativity, innovation and perseverance.
