The 2023 Greater Shepparton International Squash Championships is taking place at the Goulburn Valley Squash Club on Thursday, July 6 to Sunday, July 9. This tournament, sanctioned by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) as a 3K Challenger tour event, will feature top squash players from around the world competing in both the men’s and women’s categories.’
Councillor Shane Sali, the Mayor of Greater Shepparton City Council, expressed his excitement about hosting the event, emphasising that the partnership with Squash Victoria and the Goulburn Valley Squash Club reinforces Greater Shepparton’s reputation as a sporting and events capital in regional Australia.
Acknowledging the challenges of the past couple of years, Mayor Sali warmly welcomes the athletes and their supporters to the region, expressing wishes for their success throughout the competition while highlighting the significance of this event in allowing local players to interact with national and international competitors.
In addition to the professional tournament, there will be a senior graded tournament at the Goulburn Valley Squash Club on Saturday, July 8, and Sunday, July 9, which will bring together players from across the state, competing at various skill levels.
