The recent GMCU $30,000 cash giveaway, which saw a record-breaking number of entries received from people shopping in local business, is just one example of the GMCU’s commitment to our local area.

As well as encouraging locals to shop local, contributing to over 120 local organisations each year via sponsorship and donations and supporting locals to achieve their financial goals, the GMCU is proud to be a local employer, employing over 60 staff across our region.

Reflecting on the recent Careers Day Out Event, where GMCU staff were on site talking to local jobseekers about employment opportunities within our region, CEO Melissa Ralph commented, “We are committed to making sure that there is a genuine choice in banking providers within our region. The personal service that local banking provides is what makes GMCU a great alternative to banking with a big bank – and it’s our fantastic local staff that make that difference.

“Supporting 10 local branches, GMCU employs staff across a variety of roles, from member services officers and branch managers, to roles in information technology, risk and compliance, credit management, operations, administration, executive support, fraud monitoring, finance and accounting and payments processing.”

GMCU branches are located right across our local communities, including Shepparton, Mooroopna, Kyabram, Echuca, Numurkah, Euroa, Benalla, Violet Town, Kilmore and Seymour. To get in contact with GMCU Shepparton, situated at 95 Fryers Street, give the team a call on 5821 9033.
