VICTORIAN Law Week, held in May, is a week-long festival designed to broaden the community’s understanding of the law and legal system. GV Libraries will offer a range of information sessions at their branches, and one online session, to educate the public about the law.

“We have such an amazing range of events planned for people to learn about the law and the legal system in Victoria. I’m so proud we can offer these opportunities locally. We have people travelling from around Victoria to present sessions in our region. We are particularly pleased to be offering a session at Shepparton Library on the County Koori Court. This is a rare opportunity to discover how this court operates,” said Bronwyn Cole, programs coordinator at GV Libraries.

To find out what’s on during Law Week, visit www.gvlibraries.com.au/events or www.lawweek.net.au. Bookings are preferred for all sessions. Please email programs@gvlrc.vic.gov.au specifying which session you are attending, or phone 1300 374 765. As always, you can book when you visit your local branch.
