LIVE music will bring the Shepparton Library to life on Thursday, March 2, when talented local musician Joe Matera returns to the venue for a special concert followed by a song writing workshop.
Joe is an Australian singer/songwriter/guitarist and instrumentalist with years in the rock industry both on and off the stage. He is a respected music journalist and best-selling author of Backstage Pass: The Grit and the Glamour.
He recently signed to iconic Australian record label Possum Records for the worldwide release of his new album The Lone Runner, which is due for release on March 17.
“I’m honoured to be joining the artist roster of Possum Records,” said Joe. “It’s great to be returning to the Shepparton Library for a relaxed night of music. Anyone who wants to learn more about the fine art of songwriting or learn about how their favourite songs were created and enjoy a live performance should come along.”
The session at Shepparton Library is open to anyone interested in music, so come and enjoy Joe’s performance in the chill atmosphere of the library. Afterwards, Joe will facilitate a workshop for those keen to know more about songs and songwriting.
It’s on Thursday, March 2 at 8pm at the Shepparton Library. RSVP by phoning the library on 1800 374 765 or email shepparton@gvlibraries.com.au
The Lone Runner will be available to purchase from record stores including JB-HI-FI and available to stream online from March 17.
