Local business in $135M Spirit of Tasmania project deal

DEVELOPMENT is underway for the $135M state of the art, passenger and freight terminal in Geelong’s port of Corio Quay, which will form the new home of Spirit of Tasmania. The twelve-hectare site will be transformed over the next twelve months and local business, Maddison Wright Engineering have been appointed by Kane Constructions to fabricate and install the structural steel for the construction of the passenger terminal building.

Maddison Wright Engineering is a growing Australian manufacturing company that is experiencing remarkable success. It is a multi-disciplinary engineering company that provide turnkey engineering solutions. Known for working well with clients, understanding project needs and requirements and delivering cost effective solutions to the highest standards.

The project will provide more job opportunities within the company in both the Shepparton and Geelong workshops. It is the company’s largest job to date and at its peak, they will have twenty-five skilled boilermakers and riggers working on the project.
