LAST month trade experts along with the Australian Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AACCI), and the Global Victoria Trade Alliance hosted a roundtable meeting in Shepparton at the Quality Hotel Parklake. The roundtable event was held for local business in Shepparton to gain information and ask questions about export opportunities.

Global Victoria has partnered with 29 international chambers of commerce, peak industry bodies and business associations, including the AACCI to help exports overcome the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The AACCI received a Global Victoria Trade Alliance grant to provide training programs for exporters in Greater Shepparton, Geelong, Mildura and Gippsland about exporting to the Middle East and North Africa region.

There were many local business people and organisations present for this dedicated information session and networking event. Guest speaker Consul-General Dubai & General Manager for Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, Ian Halliday, spoke about how much global trade is growing rapidly which in effect is creating sizeable opportunities for Victorian businesses.
