UNDER an elected Nationals-Liberal Government, regional Victoria will benefit from a new 25 per cent Fair Share Guarantee in infrastructure spending.
Member for Shepparton District, Kim O’Keeffe said under the new commitment, 25 per cent of all new Victorian Government infrastructure expenditure will be allocated towards projects such as roads, emergency services, hospitals and other community infrastructure in regional Victoria.

“Labor’s city centric spending, financial mismanagement, billions in cost blowouts and over $15 billion gone in rorts on Big Build sites, whilst regional communities miss out on critical projects across the Shepparton Electorate such as the Shepparton Sports and Events Centre and GV Health’s redevelopment have been continually neglected by Labor,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
Recent analysis conducted by the independent Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) has confirmed that less than 12 per cent of capital spending in the 2025-26 State Budget is allocated to regional Victorians.
“The Nationals and Liberals plan is simple, regional Victorians represent 25 per cent of the state’s population, so we will guarantee that they receive 25 per cent of our infrastructure spending,” said O’Keeffe.
“This plan means our roads will be properly maintained and invested, our health services will be supported and backed, and community infrastructure will be invested and delivered where needed.”
