Nursing students at La Trobe’s Shepparton campus converged on Corio Street on Monday afternoon to mark the launch of a new, purpose-built facility.

The temporary nursing lab and teaching space will be available for students over the next 18 months, while the $20M Shepparton campus redevelopment takes shape.

The Corio Street hub will offer a bigger simulated hospital environment for the students.

In line with the launch, nursing students will be wearing sustainable scrubs that were donated to the cohort of 150 students by social enterprise Assembled Threads.

The scrubs were donated as part of a trial in a grant by Sustainability Victoria.
