GREATER Shepparton City Council is excited to announce a new three-year event partnership with the Shepparton Festival to strengthen the arts and cultural community in the region.

Shepparton Festival is a 16-day celebration in March which showcases local artists, groups, musicians and more to the community to highlight the region’s talents.

“The Shepparton Festival has evolved over 25 years and creates a wonderful event for the community. It’s a special space that attracts wonderful things and Council is enormously proud to continue this wonderful partnership” said Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Councillor, Kim O’Keeffe.

“This new contract means we can focus on delivering an amazing festival in 2022 and beyond. Arts and creative experiences strengthen this place of ours and that’s the role of art. It brings people together to celebrate our cultures, history, creativity, and this region’s strengths,” said Shepparton Festival general manager, Louise Tremper.

Visitors from the region and beyond attend the March festival and this year it is anticipated that 30,000 people will make their way to the region to participate in the many events on offer.
