Opposition Leader Jess Wilson and Nationals Leader Danny O’Brien visited Shepparton on Monday, July 6, as part of the Coalition’s Fresh Start Tour, a 36-day campaign visiting every Victorian electoral district.
Joined by Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe and Member for Northern Victoria Wendy Lovell, they met with local business owners, spoke with residents in the CBD and held a roundtable discussion with community representatives.
The discussion focused on key local issues including cost-of-living pressures, support for small business, crime and the condition of regional roads.
The tour is centred on the Coalition’s election platform, including its proposed Fair Share Guarantee, which would commit 25 per cent of state infrastructure spending to regional Victoria, reflecting the proportion of Victorians who live in regional areas if the Coalition is elected to government.
