New paddleboarding activity

SURFING is intimidating, wakeboarding is challenging, and windsurfing can take a lot of practice before you are able to stay upright but stand up paddleboarding (SUP) is surprisingly easy, even for beginners.

Paddleboards can now be hired for use on Victoria Lake. SUP has continued to grow in popularity around the world. Enjoy testing and working on your balance in a safe, calm environment as you explore Shepparton’s iconic lake.

Bring bathers, a towel, drink bottle, hand sanitizer and face mask, and your own flotation device if you would prefer to your booking. Experience is not necessary, just the ability to swim confidently and the desire to have a good time.

Each session runs for 45 minutes and costs $20 per person. There are up to 15 paddleboards available at any time, meaning this is an excellent group activity. Please arrive 10 minutes before your session to get the most out of your time on the lake.

SUP hire is located at the northern end of the lake, near Aquamoves on Tom Collins Drive, Shepparton. Each booking includes a paddle board, leg rope, paddle and a life jacket.

For group, school or corporate bookings please contact Council’s Healthy Communities Team on 5832 9432 or email healthycommunities@shepparton.vic.gov.au
