A STRATEGIC move made earlier this year has seen local manufacturer, Pental acquire Australian-made premium, personal care brand Bondi Soap, with a view to diversify their product offering.
Relaunched in September after an extensive redevelopment of the range, the brand has seen a full external makeover including all new branding and packaging. Each individual product has also been reformulated with the intention to ensure that 100 percent of the ingredients used are sustainably sourced, natural (plant-based), planet-friendly and cruelty-free.
The move comes as a part of Pental’s business strategy to diversify their brand offering, enabling the business to appeal to a broad range of market segments, explained Site Manager Carmine Conte.
“It also sets in stone our commitment to the premium personal care sustainability market, and a green focused future for future generations,” he said.
The acquisition of the Bondi Soap brand has also seen Pental make further investment in their production infrastructure, in order to accommodate local product manufacturing, teaming up with local engineering business, Maddison Wright Engineering to create two purpose-built custom blending vessels, due to be delivered to the site this week.
“Both the new vessels have a 1500litre capacity, they’re sanitary grade stainless steel with state-of-the-art inbuilt cleaning in process (CIP) functionality, further enabling us to produce small batches, bespoke, and specifically organic products,” added Mr Conte.
“As a proud Australian company, it is really important, and very much a part of the Pental ethos that we use authentic formulations that are created right here in Shepparton.”
“Bondi Soap represents a personal care range for the consumer that not only values quality ingredients but is conscious of their environment,” he said.
