Written by Rob Priestly, independent candidate for Nicholls.

FROM the current low ebb of politics, there are green shoots emerging. After seeing so much of our leaders during Covid, people are starting to think about how we can do things better. They’re looking for an alternative approach to business as usual. It’s an alternative that has honesty and integrity as core values, and puts the interests of our communities first.

As this campaign starts, I’m pledging to put your interests first. No silly political games and meaningless point scoring. No spamming you with unwanted text messages. No favours to vested interests.

I hear what you are asking for. Better local health and aged care services. Better mobile and internet coverage. A fair Basin Plan for our farmers. Introducing an anti-corruption body to hold politicians accountable.

Thousands of people from all walks of life and different political viewpoints are getting on board our positive vision for this region. The change is coming and it’s very exciting for our communities. If you’re interested in sending a message to Canberra, please get in touch via our website or social media channels to find out more.
