BINGO was there without Bluey, and footy stars were present. Thing 1 and Thing 2 made a special appearance. A flurry of last-minute shopping and sewing, and Book Week 2023 was another roaring success.

Book Week has been bringing children and stories together all-round Australia since 1945, and from Aug 21-Aug 27, the students at Inspira Kids Early Learning Centre dressed up as their favourite characters. This year’s theme was “Read, Grow, Inspire.”

During Book Week, schools and public libraries celebrate books, children’s authors and illustrators.

Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.
