LIKE the star herself, Bernadette Robinson is no stranger to the stage. Following pre-lockdown performances at the Arts Centre Melbourne and Sydney Opera House, Bernadette returns for a special performance featuring iconic Songs of Judy Garland, as part of Riverlinks’ Afternoon Delight series on Tuesday, July 12, 2pm to 3.30pm.

Bernadette drew inspiration for this show from her past performance, Songs for Nobodies, which brought to life legendary female singers Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, Edith Piaf, Billie Holiday, and Maria Callas. The show was so well received that it earned an Oliver Awards nomination and confirmed Bernadette as a new star on the West End.

“Bernadette Robinson is an actor and singer of tremendous range, power, and nuance, which will leave all comers astonished and mightily impressed. We are thrilled to have her perform at our venue and to our audience,” said Ken Cameron, Riverlinks Venues manager.

Songs of Judy Garland is part of the Afternoon Delights Season presented by Riverlinks Venues with support from Creative Victoria, offering the very best in daytime entertainment with a specialty performance once a month. A complimentary afternoon tea by Riverlinks Encore Café is included in the ticket pricing.

This performance will be a moving, funny, and unique afternoon in the theatre. Sing, laugh, be entertained, and reminisce with friends. Group bookings are available for a reduced price and tickets can be purchased in person, online, or through Riverlinks Box Office on 5832 9511.
