Revved up for 2022 Tour De Course!

AFTER some serious headwinds created by Covid-19 preventing this event from happening, the organisers this year have a field of 35 cars competing.

The 2022 Tour De Course event starts with scrutineering this Friday 11th March from 3pm to 7pm at Shepparton’s very own Museum of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE) then the driving action gets underway at Deca from 9.15am on Saturday morning and runs until about 2pm. This includes a number of driving events and challenges. Then it’s on to Wilby Raceway on Sunday for more driving events starting from 9.15am and Winton Raceway on Monday from 10.30am.

Organisers, drivers, navigators and crews are thrilled to be back in action and there are some very impressive vehicles entered including Porsche 911 GT3’s, a Mercedes AMG GTR, Nissan GTR’s, BMW’s, Subaru WRX STI’s, Mitsubishi EVO’s, a Corvette Z06, a 1979 Opel Monza and even a 2019 Ford Mustang “Bullitt” in action, this is going to be epic!

As always, these events don’t just happen and the organisers would like to make special mention of the crew of people and volunteers who work so hard behind the scenes to help make this event happen. These people include scrutineers, marshals, timekeepers, starters, officials and navigation controllers who all keep things on track and running smoothly.

So, if you’re even remotely interested in cars or motorsport, this is a great chance to view some wonderful cars and drivers in action in the 2022 Tour De Course and all right here in our region!
