FIRE has destroyed the clubhouse of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia’s Shepparton branch.
Firefighters were called to the Shepparton East location on the Midland Highway at about 8.05am on Monday morning.
Seven CFA fire trucks attended from Shepparton, Cosgrove & Pine Lodge, Kialla, Tallygaroopna, Karramomus, Caniambo and Mooroopna, supported by CFA support vehicles and staff and by FRV firefighters from Shepparton Fire Station.
The incident was declared under control at 8.26am.
A 15x5m timber building clubhouse with vinyl cladding and tin roof was completely destroyed in the fire.
A CFA fire investigator attended to investigate the cause, which is undetermined but not treated as suspicious.
