THE official program for the inaugural White Night Shepparton has been officially launched by Visit Victoria.
White Night will shine a light on Shepparton for the very first time on Saturday, June 25, through spectacular works created by local artists, alongside national and internationally renowned works.
The full program will see sparkling lasers and light beams, stunning projections, mesmerizing music, and captivating installations will transform the Victoria Park Lake precinct and surrounding areas into an illuminated wonderland.
Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe said this was an event not to be missed.
“Hosting White Night is an incredible experience for our region, as this will not be like anything they have put together before. Unique to our region’s environment and community, the program showcases works focused on Indigenous culture, multiculturalism and native animals, flora, and fauna,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“The program incorporates distinctive features of Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley including the new Shepparton Art Museum, Victoria Park Lake, Aquamoves, Monash Park and the streetscape of Welsford Street presenting a truly unique experience for locals and visitors.”
White Night is expected to draw upwards of 30,000 visitors, which is expected to deliver a $3M boost to the local economy.
