Street party celebrations this Saturday

COME down to the redeveloped section of Maude Street, to celebrate the refreshed streetscape and the beginning of Shepparton’s new-look mall.

This Saturday, November 27 from 9am until 2pm, family-friendly activities will be available in the recently completed section of the development and through local retailers and traders in the vicinity.

There will be a Ferris wheel, street performers, activities for children and live music to liven up the place and to celebrate the lengthy construction having been completed.

If you can pull the kids away from the Ferris wheel at 12pm, they will be delighted to listen to children’s author, Katrina Nannestad.

Ms Nannestad has written over a dozen books, and her latest title, ‘Rabit, Soldier, Angel, Thief’ is a brilliant example of historical fiction for children that is bound to inspire.

Author of adult fiction, Ilsa Evans, will be at Collins Bookstore at 1pm on Saturday. Ms Evans has 14 books published across different genres. Her recent novel, The Unusual Abduction of Avery Conifer, asks readers, ‘What would you do to protect a child?’ and eventgoers will be enthralled listening to her recent wise and witty novel.

Children’s author, Katrina Nannestad will be at Collins Bookstore at 12pm and Ilsa Evans at 1pm this Saturday. Collin’s Bookstore is located at 262 Maude Street, Shepparton.

The Street Party is free to attend. Find all the action happening on Maude Street, between Vaughan and High Street. Traders in the area are open for business and for a limited time, shoppers will benefit from complimentary parking in Council-owned parking spaces.
