LOCAL owners Ashley and Vanessa Madeira celebrated 20 years of The Eye Shop last week, marking two decades of helping the community look after their eyesight. Reflecting on the decision to open the store, Ashley said: “We thought it was time for a new challenge, and this was our challenge.” For the pair, the work goes beyond providing eye care, with Ashley saying the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives is what makes it so rewarding.
“The reason we do this is because eyesight is so important,” Ashley said.
