PUMP STATION WORKS... Traffic on Pine Road and Orchard Circuit will be affected by construction works in the area until sometime in May. Photo: Supplied.

ROAD users should be aware that construction of a new storm water pump station between Pine Road and Orchard Circuit Basin commences tomorrow, Thursday, April 7.

These works are scheduled for completion in May, weather and operational factors permitting. Construction will occur during 7am and 6pm weekdays, and 7am and 1pm Saturdays when required.

The new pump station has been designed to increase the outflow capacity of the existing Orchard Circuit pump station that serves both the Orchard Circuit and Pine Park Estates. The aim of the project is to mitigate the occurrence of stormwater inundation happening to the streets adjoining Orchard Circuit after significant storm events.

While efforts have been made to minimise disruptions to residents and road users, some inconveniences will occur due to the nature of the works. Council asks road users to obey any traffic management signage or directives and would like to thank residents for their patience while this project is being completed.
