GREATER Shepparton Foundation will provide up to $5,000 support to grass roots projects that deliver big impact for the community.

Applications to Greater Shepparton Foundation’s (GSF) ‘Small Grants’ program are now open. If your not-for-profit organisation has a project that will positively impact the people you support, addresses an immediate or unmet need and it meets the GSF funding criteria, you are invited to apply.

Successful projects will align with the Foundation’s vision of ‘inclusive, interconnected communities where everybody has an equal opportunity to participate’.

“We are out in our community each week, learning and listening to community needs. We have heard that our local grass roots organisations need more funding to support their projects that will contribute to building capacity in our community as they recover from the pandemic,” said GSF CEO Cheryl Hammer.

“Funding applications also help us understand what is going on at a community level, they highlight the work and initiatives that focus on tackling hardship, inequity and addressing the challenges of the most vulnerable people and groups amongst us,” Cheryl added.

To see if your community organisation or charity is eligible to apply you can visit the ‘grants’ page on the GSF website at www.greatershepparton.foundation
