PRINCESS Park’s off-leash dog park has been officially opened this week by Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Cr Kim O’Keeffe.

The park features include 1.8m high perimeter fencing with separate fenced sections for small and large dogs each with shelter, park seating and agility equipment, as well as a dog waste bin and water fountain with an on-site dog bowl.

Positioned in the bushland north of the Shepparton Runners Club building, solar lighting will ensure that dog owners can enjoy the park in the evenings and early mornings as well.

Greater Shepparton City Council acting director infrastructure, Tim Zak said it’s fantastic to see residents and their dogs enjoying the park.

“We have already received positive feedback from dog owners who have been visiting the park,” he said. “We encourage the community to come down and enjoy the space.
