A message from Jeremy Rensford, chair, Shepparton Ministers’ Association

Who would you consider your community?

I hope this is an easy question for you to answer. But for some, we have more ways of communicating with one another than ever before, yet have never felt so isolated and lonely.

The local churches of Shepparton provide vibrant community opportunities for all. There’s much more happening than just a Sunday morning worship service or mass.

We realise that for most, there is a desire to belong before believing. This is fine by us!

Consider some entry points at a local church near you to help circuit break your potential isolation and loneliness – social groups, youth groups, sporting teams, special interest groups, music, arts and the list goes on.

Jesus, when choosing his very first disciples, chose the least likely, unqualified in the eyes of others (but loved in the eyes of God), to start His community. There’s room for you and me too!
