Activities in the Park fun for April

APRIL is a great time to get out and about and enjoy the weather as it starts to cool. To help you get sorted, Greater Shepparton City Council has a range of activities on offer as part of its Activities in the Park program.

A number of free and low cost activities will be run across the municipality from now until April 18 to make sure no child is bored during the break.

Each session is delivered by local facilitators including sporting clubs, businesses, community groups and state sporting organisations.

Activities will include spotlight walks, kite making, orienteering, sandcastle play, pedal karts and much more.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe said the holiday program offers a wide range of experiences that can help parents encourage their children to be active.

“These activities all provide a safe and inclusive environment for any family that wants to be involved,” Cr O’Keeffe said.

“Our facilitators will be making their way around the district and hope to see as many children there as possible.

“The activities are affordable and in most cases free so we encourage everyone to get together with family and friends and get along to as many of the activities as they can.”
