IN a constituency question to the Minister for Public Transport, Ben Carroll, in State Parliament last week, Member for Northern Victoria, Wendy Lovell, pointed out the Shepparton/Mooroopna public bus service had remained unchanged since 2009 and did not meet the needs of the Greater Shepparton community.
The current service offers only limited services on Saturdays, with no services on Sundays or public holidays. Ms Lovell said it was also concerning that there was no local bus service between Shepparton and Tatura, the third-largest town in the Greater Shepparton municipality.
Ms Lovell sought a commitment from Mr Carroll that he will order an immediate review of the bus network that currently services Shepparton and Mooroopna.
