SOUTH Shepparton Community Centre committee and staff were thrilled to receive $5,000 funding from the Freemasons Foundation Victoria Benevolent Fund.

Staff are busy putting the funding to good use, increasing programs delivered at the centre.

South Shepparton Community Centre manager, Dawn Taylor said, “The Healthy Connections program is supported by the funding and offers participants two hours of interesting health and lifestyle information, presenting a range of topics delivered by experienced guest speakers.

“Each session includes a free light lunch with instructions for participants to learn how to make each dish at home. Group members learn how to develop a menu that caters for people with special dietary requirements and to sample food they have never tasted before.

“Everyone is welcome to join the group, which is held at South Shepparton Community Centre, every Thursday from 12 noon to 2pm (during school terms). Please advise staff if you have any special dietary requirements.”

To book your spot, call 5821 6172 or visit the South Shepparton Community Centre at 11 Service Street, Shepparton.
