Residents at Harmony Village Shepparton have been thoroughly enjoying the upgraded features in their exciting new wing.
Paid for by Doutta Gala Aged Services, the $4.6 million upgrade was completed in November last year and features new common areas such as a lounge, dining area and kitchenette, as well as three new courtyards, large new bedrooms with their own private ensuites. Many rooms have direct access to a courtyard.
Seated beside an inviting fireplace on comfortable new chairs in the modern new dining and lounge area, 91-year-old Harmony Village resident Betty Downing told us that she is absolutely thrilled with the new wing.
“I absolutely love it all,” Betty said, “I can’t see anything here at all to fault; I enjoy the whole works. The staff are all superb and very friendly.”
Betty has been living in one of Harmony Village’s independent living units for twelve years and recently transitioned to residential care.
“Ever since moving across to residential care, my health has improved and I’ve become far more active,” Betty said.
