With the recent demise of the Footy Show on the Nine Network, it brings to our attention the great work in our region done by our TV and radio hosts of our local football.
The Front Bar on Channel 7 has taken all by storm, with Fox Football and other channels providing a wide range of football content that is sometimes not even about the game, but gives us all a great laugh.
David Fox and John JR Ryan do such a great job with the Footy Show for local football around the GV. They know their local football like the back of their hand and enjoy a laugh along the way.
Jason Welch heads up the team at OneFM that has been ongoing for so long now, with Jason soon to call his 300th match. Jason is incredibly proud of his award-winning team, covering 40 games last year including the GVL, Interleague at the MCG, KDL, SJDFL and the AFL Women’s and Youth Girls Finals.
Craig Potter has recently joined the team at OneFM again and every week, gives a great call on whatever games they go to with a few laughs along the way.
So, if you feel aggrieved in anyway about the demise of the Footy Show, that was once upon a time a Thursday night must see, get online or flick the radio on as the boys that do it local are very informative and have a lot of fun doing it.
