LOCAL football and netball clubs, associations and umpiring organisations are being encouraged to apply for grants to improve their facilities.
Grants of up to $100,000 were now available through The Country Football and Netball Program.
Nationals Member for Ovens Valley, Tim McCurdy said, “Funding is available through the program for facility improvements like ground resurfacing, lighting installation, building modern and safer netball courts and new pavilions with accessible and female-friendly change rooms.
“The Country Football and Netball Program enables our local clubs to make the improvements needed to deliver facilities to play footy and netball.
“Having high quality sporting facilities is central to encouraging more Ovens Valley residents to get more active, more often.”
Clubs must register their interest in applying for funding by submitting an ‘expression of interest’ to their local council.
Applications close on June 3, 2019. For more information, visit sport.vic.gov.au
