THE 150th Bendigo Easter Fair will take place from Good Friday, April 15, through to Easter Monday, April 18.
Bendigo Easter Fair is one of Australia’s longest running community events, since its inception in 1871, and was due to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2020.
Following a two year hiatus due to COVID-19, the event will make a highly anticipated return in 2022 to celebrate 150th Bendigo Easter Fair.
Over the four-day Easter long weekend, Bendigo’s beautiful Rosalind Park and surrounding streets will be transformed into a vibrant precinct bursting with family-friendly entertainment, stage shows, hands-on activities, live music, roving performers an Easter egg hunt and more.
Dance, drums, Lion teams and 100,000 crackers are all part of the Chinese Spring Festival and Awakening of the Dragon, as Bendigo celebrates its Chinese heritage at the Dai Gum San Precinct.
As the sun sets on Easter Sunday, find your place along the road to cheer on the convoy of illuminated floats in the Sherridon Homes Torchlight Procession, concluding with a spectacular fireworks display over the city.
The highlight will be the Gala Parade on Easter Monday when the longest Imperial Dragon Dai Gum Loong makes his first solo outing.
Cr Rod Fyffe, who is on the Bendigo Easter Festival Reference Group, is excited for this great event.
“Bendigo is absolutely the place to be this Easter with a fantastic line up of events,” Mr Fyffe said.
The 150th Bendigo Easter Fair is filled with fun and excitement the whole family will enjoy, and after visiting this annual event it is sure to become your family’s Easter tradition.
