MORE Victorians can receive immediate bill relief and cut their energy costs by heading to the Victorian Energy Compare website, the only free and independent online energy price comparison service, available to Victorian energy consumers.
While seeking a more cost-effective, energy-saving deal online, Victorian households can claim a $250 power saving bonus.
“We know Victorian families are doing it tough, so we’re topping up the $250 power saving bonus program to make sure no one misses out,” said Minister for Energy, Lily D’Ambrosio.
Since July, 1M Victorians have applied for the one-off payment, providing immediate support and driving the cost of living down right across the state. Data shows that consumers who have already made the switch to another supplier have saved $330 on average, over the last 12 months.
There is no limit on the number of payments available during program, which runs July 1 to June 30, 2023.
Other programs helping households and business to cut energy bills include Victorian Energy upgrades and Solar Victoria, which offer households and businesses discounted solar panels, batteries and efficient heating and cooling.
