THE electoral roll closed for registrations on Tuesday in anticipation of the State Election on Saturday, November 26.

To help inform voters about potential representatives, the Committee for Greater Shepparton will host a candidates’ forum so that voters can learn about candidates and issues that affect Northern Victoria and the Shepparton District.

Questions for candidates can be submitted via Eventbite at registration, or emailed to jodie.flemming@c4gs.com.au.

The current panel includes Independent Suzanna Sheed MP, who currently holds the seat of Shepparton, Liberal candidate Cheryl Hammer and Nationals candidate Kim O’Keeffe.

Linda Nieuwenhuizen, C4GS CEO, said, “The ballot will be declared November 11 and candidates have until this time to register for election. The Committee will be doing our best to track down all the registered candidates for a diverse and engaging panel.”

Early voting begins Monday, November 14. If you require a postal vote, you can register for one now with applications closing 6pm on Wednesday, November 23. For more information and key dates, visit www.vec.vic.gov.au/voting/2022-state-election.

The forum will be held at Riverlinks Westside, Mooroopna, from 5.30pm on Tuesday, November 15. To register for this free event, visit sheppartonforum.eventbrite.com.au.
