TWO teams in the Goulburn Valley League football and netball competitions have made the decision to withdraw from the 2023 season. They are Tatura U18 football and Benalla 15 & Under netball teams.
The fixture will not be updated. Any team due to play either teams will now have a bye and these games treated as forfeits by Benalla and Tatura.
A GV/L spokesperson said, “AFL GM, the GVL & Netball Victoria will work with both clubs over the season with the hope that both teams will be part of the competition in season 2024. We thank both clubs for their continued efforts and look forward to supporting them, as well as all our clubs through season 2023.”
Round one of the GV/L football and netball season kicks off Easter Weekend, with the first matches to be played on Good Friday.
