The formula behind Shepparton Carpet Call’s enduring success is simple: responsive, customer-first service combined with deep product knowledge and a strong awareness of flooring trends. Led by proprietors Caroline and David Mohi, the business has maintained a consistent focus on client needs, a commitment that continues to drive its long-standing success.
Always attuned to the market and responsive to the evolving requirements of their customers, Caroline said:
“Flooring has changed dramatically in recent years, and we work hard to keep up with home trends. For example, we’re now seeing a strong shift from twist pile carpets to loop pile styles, and a growing preference for vinyl planks over traditional tiles throughout homes.”
Indeed, vinyl flooring is now the store’s leading product, with a vast, curated selection including sheeted vinyl, floating vinyl and luxury vinyl planks, designed to suit everything from high-traffic areas to modern minimalist interiors.
Along with the dramatic shift in flooring materials in recent years, Caroline said colour preferences have also undergone a transformation.

“Greys are on the way out, now it’s all about earthy, organic tones. You see it in carpets, tiles, even vinyl. There’s a soft, European influence that’s really coming through in interior trends, marked by occasional pops of colour.”
Understanding that bringing a client’s unique vision to fruition must first begin with a frank, attentive conversation, Caroline said,
“I always say to a customer when I’m about to serve them, ‘I ask a lot of questions,’ because that’s the only way you can get to the bottom of what the client is after. Not every customer is the same.”
Helping customers create stylish, functional spaces tailored to their lifestyle, Shepparton Carpet Call’s strength also lies in its people. From Lee Frost’s more than 20 years of experience to Jamie Stapleton’s journey to fully qualified expert, and sales consultant, Ian Maiden with over 15 years as a flooring installer. Their local team is built on skill, loyalty and passion.
Rising star Tyge Jeffrey, recently named First Year Apprentice of the Year by Floor Covering Institute of Australia, also highlights the business’ commitment to nurturing talent, ensuring quality service in-store, will be at hand for a long time to come.
