THE Albanian Harvest Festival has become a must-attend event not only for locals but also for people all around the country. Beyond the cultural experience of food, music and dance, the event has been a generous supporter of vital services that help many people in the community.
For the third consecutive year, the Albanian Moslem Society of Shepparton (AMSS) has donated $5,000 to GV Hospice, enabling them to continue providing comfort to people with terminal illnesses. The donation enabled GV Hospice to purchase a portable oxygen concentrator that extracts oxygen from the air, offering independence to those needing supplementary oxygen.

“This organisation is close to my heart. We are very fortunate to have the 24-hour service, and it’s donations like this that help to maintain the service,” said AMSS committee member Reg Qemal.
“This achievement would not be possible without the hard work, dedication and passion of our amazing volunteers and supporters. Their time, effort and commitment are what make these events successful year after year.”
Along with GV Hospice, AMSS also donated $2,500 to the Royal Children’s Hospital and $2,000 to Kind Cuts for Kids, an Australian-based organisation that provides specialist medical care for children in developing countries around the world.
The generous donations from AMSS demonstrate that the Shepparton Albanian Harvest Festival is not only a great event that benefits the local economy but also supports wonderful organisations that positively impact the lives of many in the area.
