GREATER Shepparton City Council encourages all to find their purr-fect winter companion and give one of the many cats and kittens currently at the Shepparton Animal Shelter a loving home.
The Shelter will host a Cat Adoption Day on Saturday, May 23, from 10am to 2pm, at 125 Wanganui Road, Shepparton, giving residents a chance to meet a wide range of cats and kittens looking for homes. No appointments are necessary.

Adoption fees have been reduced to $50 for cats over 12 months of age, while kittens are $100.
With more than 60 cats currently available for adoption and a further 60 in care, adopting a shelter cat not only changes the life of the animal, it also helps free up space at the Shelter so staff can continue to support other animals in need.
People planning to attend are encouraged to view the available cats online ahead of time via Council’s website. An online pet adoption questionnaire can also be completed prior to arrival to help save time on the day.
All cats and kittens available have been vet checked, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for worms and fleas. Attendees should bring a suitable pet carrier, which can also be purchased from the Shelter if required.
