  • FACING Modernity: Degas to Picasso at the Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) is already drawing strong interest, and there’s plenty more to discover throughout winter.
  • From illuminating lectures to guided tours, immerse yourself in the world of Modernism through a program designed for lifelong learners and the culturally curious.
  • Exhibition After Dark: Facing Modernity is open for extended hours to 7pm every Friday evening until July 24. Drop by after work for a relaxed visit before your weekend, or enjoy a date-night outing.
  • Guided exhibition tour: Saturday, August 8 and Saturday, September 12, 2pm to 2.30pm.

  • Ballet-inspired life drawing workshop with Debra Winn: Saturday, August 15, 10am to 12pm, Level 4 at SAM. Price: $49.50.
  • Petit Picasso Studio for Kids: Free monthly workshop where kids can imagine themselves in their very own artist studio. Running Saturdays, 10am to 12pm. Dates: July 13, August 8, September 12. Located at Level 2 SAM Workshop. Free, drop in, no registration required.
  • SAM Winter Camp: SAM’s seasonal school holiday workshop series returns July 6-11, with hands-on creative activities that invite kids to dream like Dalí and paint like Picasso. Program details and bookings to be announced soon.
