
Greater Shepparton City Council is encouraging local businesses to attend Unlocking Multicultural Talent: Practical Solutions to Local Workforce Challenges, a free Greater Shepparton Business Festival session on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Held from 5.30pm to 7pm at La Trobe University, Shepparton, the session will explore how businesses can build more inclusive workplaces, attract and retain diverse talent, and respond to local workforce challenges.

Presented by Dr Huong Nguyen, Lecturer in Management and Human Resource Management at La Trobe Business School, the session will provide practical strategies for employers looking to strengthen workforce participation and create more inclusive workplace cultures.
Topics will include inclusive workplace practices, leading diverse teams, regional workforce insights and practical actions employers can take to attract and retain employees from multicultural backgrounds.
This free session is suited to business owners, managers, HR professionals and employers wanting to strengthen their workforce and build more inclusive workplaces.
