DON’T miss the state’s largest celebration of seniors happening throughout October, with plenty of local events, workshops, seminars and opportunities to connect during the 2026 Victorian Seniors Festival.
Greater Shepparton City Council have partnered with The Shepparton Adviser for the Positive Living & Ageing Well quarterly newsletter, full of information to help older residents live, move and stay connected.
Inside, you will find a four-page lift-out event guide featuring the packed event calendar for the Victorian Seniors Festival.
From come and try fitness programs, board games, craft sessions and groups, a military vehicle rally, seniors’ concerts and performances, to fitness assessments, plant sales, digital courses, family events and more, there is something for everyone to discover this October.
Many of the events are free to attend or with some offered at a low-cost for seniors.
During October, Aquamoves also has a special Seniors Week offer where members and guests over 60 years old can bring a friend for free or non-members can claim two casual entries for the price of one, with prices ranging from $5 to $14 for two people depending on the activity chosen.
The event guide and Positive Living and Ageing Well feature will be available in next week’s Adviser, published September 30.
Positive Living and Ageing Well is free to read, with copies available around town, online and letterbox delivered to many households, businesses and additional copies also being made available in local aged care facilities.
