Specialising in mathematics, English and science from Prep through to Year 12, the centre moves away from a “one-size-fits-all” approach and instead offers individualised learning programs, flexible teaching, confidence building and proven results.
For many secondary students the centre’s VCE-specific support – particularly in mathematics, chemistry, physics and biology serves as a valuable resource for learning concepts, practise and skill consolidation, helping make future academic aspirations attainable.
For St Anne’s School Captain Shrey Patel, the centre has played a key role in his academic journey. Beginning in Grade 3 with foundational support in numeracy, Shrey now receives targeted instruction in Year 12 Mathematics, supporting his aspirations for tertiary study in law or possibly mechanical engineering.
A student who relishes a challenge; Shrey highlights the value of the sessions with his skilled tutor Andrew –a former chemical engineer– in a quiet supportive environment with all the textbooks and resources he needs. Indeed, it is the personalised approach that Shrey credits as essential to his consolidation of challenging mathematical concepts encountered at this level.
“At the centre you learn a lot because you can ask anything you’re having difficulty with at school, and your tutor will always find a better way to support you. The responses to your questions are very clear and easy to understand,” Shrey said.
