Australia Day ceremonies will take place throughout Greater Shepparton on Tuesday 26 January 2021.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Cr Kim O’Keeffe, encouraged all residents to celebrate what it means to be Australian.
“Australia Day is a day to reflect on what it means to be Australian, to celebrate contemporary Australia and to acknowledge our history,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“We also understand Australia Day is not a day of celebration for all. The day provides an opportunity to acknowledge, learn and understand our nation’s past and to reflect on the history, traditions and cultures of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.”
