WITH Term 4 well underway, Greater Shepparton Secondary College is officially on the home stretch of the 2022 school year. It seems only yesterday we were making history in coming together as one at our new Hawdon Street campus.
It is heartening to see how far we have come in a short time. Staff and students have settled into our new facilities and are now daily experiencing the teaching and learning advantages of a modern, state-of-the-art school.
Our House and Neighbourhood structure has provided a smaller “home” for every student, with familiar faces at the start of the year now becoming firm friends. At the same time, it has been wonderful to see students take full advantage of our “big school” status and the new subjects and learning pathways GSSC provides.
I wish to thank our community for supporting what has been a great beginning for GSSC.
We certainly know it was not an easy transition to the new campus, but rest assured our young people are now reaping the benefits. I see their pride and appreciation in GSSC building every day – if this is what we can achieve in months, imagine what we will achieve in the years ahead!
