THE beat of the Djembe and the vibrant voices of the St Paul’s African choir uplifted the gathering at Shepparton’s African House when Ras Ato hosted his West African Music and Food Party. The crowd revelled in the hands-on experience when One Spirit African Drumming and Dance performed, then passed out the traditional djembe drums for everyone to try. Benjamin Sam Ato author of Good Vibration African Cookbook: Ras Ato’s Good Vibration African Cookbook, has been sharing his love of African food, music and culture around the state.
