For Talent Acquisition Coordinator Rowan Farren, joining GV Health less than a year ago has already been a rewarding step.

“GV Health is the beating heart of healthcare in our region,” Rowan said.

“As the largest employer in the Goulburn Valley, we offer opportunities across a huge range of fields.

“That means every day you’re working with people from different backgrounds, all here for the same reason, to support the community.”

That sense of purpose is matched by tangible benefits.

Rowan highlighted the value of flexible work practices, extra leave compared with many other industries, and a culture that genuinely supports wellbeing.

“I’ve been able to maintain a great work-life balance here, which has made a big difference for me and my family,” he said.

Diversity is another strength.

With staff drawn from across the globe and from a wide range of professions, GV Health has created a workplace that is inclusive, welcoming and dynamic.

“The culture here is a true melting pot,” Rowan said.

“It’s something really special.”

His advice to anyone considering applying?

“Don’t overthink it,” Rowan said.

“If you’re passionate about helping people, even if you don’t tick every box, you’ll fit right in.

“Whether you’re patient-facing or working behind the scenes, every role contributes to better healthcare.”

GV Health also invests in the future workforce.

The GAP Year Program gives school leavers a paid entry point into healthcare while they complete foundational studies, while a wide variety of mental health roles provide opportunities to work across inpatient, outpatient and community programs in supportive, multidisciplinary teams.
